Weddings

Hey, I’m Leith Young — a Hobart-based wedding photographer shooting weddings and elopements right across Tasmania (and wherever the road takes us).

I come from a long trade background, so I’m used to showing up, getting on with the job, and keeping things moving without fuss. That carries straight into how I photograph weddings. No awkward posing, no over-directing — just paying attention and capturing what’s actually happening.

Whether it’s a big wedding with everyone there or a small elopement somewhere quiet in Tasmania, I focus on the real stuff: the nerves before the ceremony, the laughs with your mates, the hugs from family, and the moments you don’t even realise are unfolding. That’s the part of the day that matters later on.

My approach is documentary-style wedding photography, with some relaxed portraits when it makes sense. I’ll step in if you need a hand, and step back when you don’t. I’m calm, observant, and there to make things easier — not harder.
